Life, as we know it on Earth, needs liquid water to survive. In 2015, NASA scientists announced the historic discovery stating that, under certain circumstances, liquid water was found on Mars.
The discovery could not have been possible without a rover called Curiosity that landed on Mars in 2012, and it has since found building blocks of life in an ancient lake bed.
